My MM731 is stuck updating its firmware. What should I do?

If you start the update process and stuck in following windows for a while, please try following instructions to continue the update process.

SITUATION 1

If you are stucking in the window above, you will need to perform the following steps to continue the update.

NOTE: Please DO NOT unplug the dongle during the steps.

STEP 1

Make sure the MM731 is connected in 2.4GHz mode with dongle plugged in the PC, as well as unplug the USB cable.

STEP 2

Toggle the bottom switch from 2.4GHz mode (2.4GHz symbol) to Wired mode (Wired symbol).

STEP 3

Toggle back the bottom switch from Wired mode (Wired symbol) to 2.4GHz mode (2.4GHz symbol).

STEP 4

After switching back to 2.4GHz mode, MM731 will start to update the MM731 FW automatically.

 

SITUATION 2

If you are stuck in the MM731 firmware update process for more than 5 minutes, please try following instructions to resolve it.

NOTE: Please make sure to plug the dongle in the PC and the MM731 is connected in 2.4GHz mode during the steps.

STEP 1

Press “Abort” to exit the update process, or open the “Task manager” and close the task “RENEW”.

STEP 2

Exit MasterPlus+ software first, and reopen the MasterPlus+ software.

STEP 3

It will automatically read the current FW version and pop out the window to tell you to update the FW.

Press “Install” to update the firmware again.

STEP 4

Please follow the update instructions. After both the MM731 and dongle firmware are updated, the MM731 is ready for normal use.

SITUATION 3

If you are stuck on the below window and MM731 lost connection to dongle after finishing dongle firmware update, please try following instructions to continue the MM731 mouse firmware update process.

STEP 1

Press keyboard Enter key to continue to the next process.

STEP 2

Make sure the MM731 is connected in 2.4GHz mode with dongle plugged in the PC, as well as unplug the USB cable. It will continue to below update window.

STEP 3

Toggle the bottom switch from 2.4GHz mode to Wired mode.

STEP 4

Toggle back the bottom switch from Wired mode to 2.4GHz mode.

STEP 5

After switching back to 2.4GHz mode, MM731 will start to update the MM731 FW automatically.
