Upgrade the Firmware - How to upgrade MM731 Firmware?
IMPORTANT
Please charge your mouse for at least 2 hours before using for the first time to ensure optimal battery usage.
To ensure optimal use of the MM731, please download the MasterPlus+ software from https://masterplus.coolermaster.com/ and update the latest firmware.
NOTE: To update the MM731 FW to the latest version, please connect the MM731 in 2.4GHz mode and make sure the dongle is plugged into the PC.
IF FIRMWARE VERSION IS BELOW 0121
STEP 1
Make sure the dongle is plugged into the PC, and the MM731 is connected in 2.4GHz mode.
STEP 2
Open the MasterPlus+ software, it will automatically read the current FW version of the device and pop out to tell you to update the FW.
Press “Install” to update the firmware.
STEP 3
When the firmware update window pops out, click “OK” or press Enter key to start the update.
STEP 4
Starting MM731 firmware update, toggle the switch on the bottom cover from 2.4 GHz mode to wired mode, and switch back to 2.4 GHz mode.
STEP 5
After switching back to 2.4GHz mode, MM731 will start to update the mouse FW automatically.
STEP 6
After the mouse FW is updated, it will show the following window to start the dongle FW update and update automatically.
STEP 7
After the dongle FW update is completed, the MM731 update process is fully completed. Now the MM731 firmware update is fully completed and your MM731 is ready for normal use.
STEP 8
Press “OK” to exit firmware update process and start to use your MM731. MM731 is ready for normal use.
IF FIRMWARE VERSION IS ABOVE 0121
STEP 1
Make sure the dongle is plugged into the PC, and the MM731 is connected in 2.4 GHz mode.
STEP 2
Open the MasterPlus+ software, it will automatically read the current FW version of the MM731 and pop out to tell you to update the FW.
Press “Install” to update the firmware.
STEP 3
When the firmware update window pops out, click “OK” or press Enter key to start the update.
STEP 4
Starting the MM731 mouse firmware update process.
STEP 5
When the mouse FW is updated, it will start the dongle FW update process and update automatically.
STEP 6
After both the mouse and dongle firmware are updated, you can confirm the firmware version has been updated. Now the MM731 firmware update is fully completed and your MM731 is ready for normal use.
STEP 7
Press “OK” to exit firmware update process and start to use your MM731.
IF MM731 IS CONNECTED IN WIRED MODE
Toggle the switch to Wired mode and the plug the cable into the PC. Then open the MasterPlus+ software, it will automatically read the current FW version of the MM731 and pop out to tell you to update the FW, but you CANNOT update the FW in Wired mode.
Please do not close the MaseterPlus+ and follow the instructions show on windows to update the firmware again.
STEP 1
Toggle the bottom switch to 2.4 GHz mode.

Unplug the USB cable
STEP 3
Plug the Dongle into your PC and make sure the MM731 is connected in 2.4 GHz mode.
STEP 4
When the firmware update window pops out, click “OK” or press Enter key to start the update. Please make sure to follow the instructions through the whole updating process.
STEP 5
After both the mouse and dongle firmware are updated, you can confirm the firmware version has been updated. Now the MM731 firmware update is fully completed and your MM731 is ready for normal use.
